Walking therapy, sometimes called Walk-Talk Therapy or Walk-And-Talk Therapy, is an alternative to traditional in-office therapy that takes advantage of the theraputic properties of exercise and fresh air. Some clients find that its easier to relax, release tension and talk more openly when in the outdoors walking side-by-side rather than sitting in an office face to face.
My office is located inside the Issaquah Work Lofts building at

As a born and raised Washingtonian I'm no stranger to bad weather. Proper clothing is the key to allow us to trek on even in the rain.

Prior to starting any therapy I recommend we do a consultation free of charge so that we can both get a better feeling for each other. If at the end of that call we both feel like its a good fit, only then will we schedule additional appointments.
If you're considering walking therapy and want to discuss the options please call or email to schedule a 15 minute consultation.
A draw back to walking therapy is decreased privacy. I prioritize less populated walking paths to minimize the effects on privacy. It is also best to choose paths outside of your direct neighborhood to reduce seeing people you know. Before our sessions we will review how you would like to address others that we meet on the trail.
Further, I will monitor our closeness to others and assist with adjusting our pace or path to reduce being overheard. If you become emotional during a session I will steer us to a more private area.
